Progress to date
- Now have a basic programme with 18 groups holding 23 events
- A LOGO has been designed, thanks to Colin for his drawing.
- We have received £500 from the Countryside Trust and are hoping to hear from SC Johnson soon. The outcome won't affect our ability to support the event but obviously will influence what can be done. Even without more money we can put in the basics.

Publicity
- BVCP will be able to provide publicity for the event as a whole. It is up to local groups to add local advertising / press coverage.
- BVCP hope to cover (depending on funds ..):
- In advance:
- BV Newsletter just been printed. 8,000 copies are distributed throughout valley. Includes the table of events plus an article.
- Has been put onto the BVCP web site
- Advertising: BVCP are hoping take out adverts - if we can't get free coverage - before hand and probably weekly through September to cover the events going on in the following week. Again, exactly what will depend on funds.
- Press
- In advance. Will hold a small "launch" come photo shoot and use this to generate press coverage, possible at next meeting
- In September: BVCP will employ a photographer to cover a range of the events through the month. Aim to generate some press coverage in the middle of the month and more at the end.
- We hope to focus on two or three events during the month for our press coverage, probably Cove Brook, Rowhill and Fleet Pond. Have suggested these because are easily accessed venues and dates are spread through the month.
- Are pretty hopeful that will be able to get radio coverage at the time.
- Afterwards
- Will print Volunteer Newsletter in October (a month later than usual) and hope to make this a bigger issue, perhaps with colour to give substantial coverage.

Groups could cover:(plus see Kate's notes on publicity)
- In advance: give whole event coverage in group newsletters: Fleet Pond has done this already, we hope that others will be able to.
- Local press. Kate has produced some guidelines on how we have promoted the event so that this can be tied in closely, and make sure it all links together. Could go for coverage both before and after the event in local press.
- Posters / fliers in local area. BVCP may be able to help with producing these to a set format if feel is a good idea.
- Other local newsletters, parish mags etc.
- It would help greatly with local press coverage after the event if could get local councillors involved or at least visiting on the day.

"Artists"
- HCC have a scheme this year to promote "art" in the countryside. They have offered to fund some arts events in the Valley and we are hoping that they can be held in association with the Go Wild Month.
- Groups need to be within Hampshire so possible locations are: Brickfields, Rowhill, Cove Brook and Fleet Pond. It might make sense to tie this in with "Go Wild" and possibly with the sites that we are using for media focus.
- Envisage an "artist" in residence for the day, would hope to be able to get someone doing something that is appropriate for the site. Possibilities include willow weaving, art from trash, a play.... HCC might be able to suggest possible artists or if anyone knows someone suitable.
- Are groups interested. What kind of thing would they be interested in holding. Need to feed back via HCC to organise.

Barbeque
Has been arranged with Yateley Rangers. BVCP to supply food. May need to loan some BBQs on the day? Will need some form of booking system so that can get an idea of numbers.

Giveaways This is really only possible if we get the Johnson's grant but if do should be able to consider:
|
Structure of the day
- Health & Safety. Log in and out system. Accident book. Tool talk, explain rules
- Leaflets to hand out?
- Welcome, possible display, could loan boards and possibly gazebo
- Guided walks
