Bucks Horn Plantain - Plantago major
Also known as Rats Tail Plantain

Persistent native biennial of disturbed grassy places and lawns, widespread and common throughout the country, growing to a height of 10cm (4in). Broad oval leaves to 25cm long (10in) long having three to nine veins and basal leaves that form a rosette growing outwards and upwards. Flower spikes on stalks growing to 15cm (6in) appear June to October.
