Hairy Buttercup - Ranunculus sardous

Height up to 40cm (16in). A rather local hairy annual. Restricted to England, Wales and Southern Scotland and often found on coastal grassland. Lower leaves divided into three lobes. Pale yellow flowers are 15 - 25mm (0.6 - 1in) across and appear May - September. The sepals are folded back.

This plant is poisonous.
