In the northeast of Hampshire lies a little known but very special area of villages, towns and countryside. It is an historic landscape, shaped by a traditional way of life. Ancient woodlands, remnant heathland, river valleys and a patchwork of mixed farmland provide a remote and rural character in an increasingly busy region. The Loddon and Eversley Partnership has been established to meet the challenge of protecting and enhancing all that is special about the wildlife, history and landscape of the area whilst promoting a healthy and sustainable rural economy. Led by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, (see above) the project is funded by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, The Environment Agency, Hampshire County Council and the Forestry Commission. It is supported by Hart District Council. E-mail - for further information.
