Aldershot Historical & Archaeological Society

The Aldershot History Society
Originally formed in 1980 as Aldershot Aldershot Historical and Archaeological Society (AHAS), it was renamed in 2013 to the Aldershot History Society to make it more relevant to the interests of the membership.  AHS holds monthly public meetings on the 4th Wednesday of the month during , to which anyone is welcome to attend.  They are currently building a new website and if you have any constructive comments? please let the webmaster know.  The society meets at the St John Ambulance Hall in Aldershot at 7:30pm during September - May.  Thier current meeting schedule.  Email - , for further information.

The Bricks and Bread Sustainable Living Centre opened in June 2009 with the vision to help others and provide information and training to local people, industry and businesses in sustainable living.  Large companies or governments can only make a difference over a long time, they are restricted by policy and politics to act fast and be truly effective in the short term.  It is down to individuals and small companies to make the effort and adopt more self sufficient and sustainable ways to change the way we live, build and run businesses.  The health and wellbeing of average people and their financial stability depends on us all reducing our fossil fuel use, saving money and buying more supplies locally from small businesses.  E-mail - for further information.

Friends of Muntz Park
The Friends of Muntz Park, Selly Oak Birmingham.  A group who are dedicated to the upkeep and welfare of Muntz Park, an area of about five acres in Selly Oak Birmingham, three acres were donated to the District Council in 1905 to be used as a park.  In 1907 and 1909 the council brought further two acres of land from the original donor to make the park five acres.  For further information click their logo (left) or e-mail

In the northeast of Hampshire lies a little known but very special area of villages, towns and countryside.  It is an historic landscape, shaped by a traditional way of life.  Ancient woodlands, remnant heathland, river valleys and a patchwork of mixed farmland provide a remote and rural character in an increasingly busy region.  The Loddon and Eversley Partnership has been established to meet the challenge of protecting and enhancing all that is special about the wildlife, history and landscape of the area whilst promoting a healthy and sustainable rural economy.  Led by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, the project is funded by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, The Environment Agency, Hampshire County Council and the Forestry Commission.  It is supported by Hart District Council.
